Review #2: Space Invaders for Famicom (NES)

Posted by InkNimations - January 3rd, 2018

Hello, today I'm going to review Space Invaders for the Nintendo Famicom.

So, you've probably heard of Space Invaders by now, but if you don't know, it's a game where you shoot aliens before they invade the planet surface. Clear all the aliens and you enter a harder level.

Graphicially speaking, the graphics are pretty bad, with some of the aliens looking more like colorful smiley faces during part of their animations.

The sounds in this game are also really bad, and don't even sound close to the Arcade version.

The controls are terrible, the bullets take longer than usual to regenerate.

But if there's only 1 good thing about it, it's Space Invaders.

If you want this, MSI Entertainment made a plug and play dedicated to it, with one game and ONLY one game.

So what do I think about Space Invaders for the Famicom? It sucks HARD. It's the worst version of Space Invaders I have ever played. The sounds are horrible, the controls are horrible, the aliens move farther than you, the bullets are so hard to use, and the aliens are horribly drawn!

So how do I rate this? This is so bad, I'm rating it a 0/10.

Even the Atari 5200 controller is better than this, and it is BAD as HELL.

See you next review!

You shound remember that the original NES/Famicom did have limitations. Like a fixed screen resolution and limited sound card.

Sure, but they completely ignored it.
